2018年11月12日～11月16日に南アフリカ共和国クルーガー国立公園にて開催されたAnnual Meeting of the Raptor Research Foundation 2018において，大学院環境情報学府博士課程前期2年の夏川遼生さん（指導教員：松田裕之教授）がJames Koplin Award（Travel Award）を受賞しました．
受賞研究タイトルは「Breeding-state Determinants of the Endangered Mountain Hawk-eagle Revealed by a Dynamic Multi-state Occupancy Model」です．この研究は，石川県加賀地方において，現地調査の不確実性を考慮し，クマタカの繁殖地選択と繁殖成功度の決定要因を解明した研究です．
